Okay, so we know it’s a flu.
It came from a pig.
We have the numbers from Mexico of infected people and deaths… sounds like a lot! A lot OF what though?
How many OF those deaths did people die from the virus itself or were they previous health problems augmented by the flu? How many OF those deaths were people in what age range? How many OF those deaths were because they went untreated? How many OF those deaths did attempt to get medical attention? How many OF those deaths were people that had strong immune systems? How many OF those deaths were people that were living in semi-healthy or better environments?
Does anybody understand how this flu virus works or any flu virus works?
Me, I’m still reading but from what I’ve read, if you have a healthy immune system, you’ll get through it. You might need some flu symptom-reducing medication but you’ll get through.
You know that if you don’t let some sickness in, your immune system will not adapt and grow stronger.
Use it or lose it!
Is living in sterility the best thing for our immune systems? I’m not saying that you should go and get all the sicknesses in the world but you definitely shouldn’t panic at the sound of every new animal-named virus if you have a good immune system.
When people feel sick, it’s not the virus itself that feels bad, it’s the immune system working on it and “learning”.
Remember health class?
So yeah, just be cautionary because it is a flu. But don’t get paranoid, it is just a flu.
UPDATE: 2 kids from the Sacramento area are making a full recovery and actually kinda quick. One of them said in an interview, “It’s not like my body had de… functions or anything. It’s just another flu.”
