Headline/Status… what do you want to try and force me to understand about you in one line?

Online networking sites with the headline/status one-liner is just asking you, “What do you want to try and force us to understand in one statement?”.

Usually, it’s something that is an attempt to get people to ask you a question.

Something to try and get people to open up there curiosity and ask you so you can open yourself up and reveal your characteristics and why you are who you are.

But yet, when someone opens up to you without being asked, you wonder why.

Nobody ever asks themselves if what other people are doing unasked, if ever they do it themselves except they wait for it to be asked of them.

Everybody wants to be understood, but nobody wants to understand.

I want to understand though, and nobody understands that.

  1. The movie Babel’s slogan goes, “If you want to be understood… Listen.”  I agree, though I wonder whether the same also applies to one’s attempt to understand. What do you think?
